Our 2nd annual adaptive athlete 5k race was a great opportunity to give back to our adaptive athletes! This event is for individuals with long-term physical or traumatic impairments as well as individuals with intellectual differences to be included in a race. Once a week we will be incorporating cold therapy, heat therapy and compression therapy for our adaptive athletes. Kaizen Athletics provides an all-Inclusive training facility for individuals with long-term physical or traumatic impairments (visible/invisible) through movement and community. We make fitness training accessible and inclusive for everyone, regardless of ability. It is an honor to serve our Wounded Warriors, Veterans, First Responders, Law Enforcement Officers and our Adaptive Community. Our adaptive athletes' tuition is 100% donation based. Every Saturday we host community workouts from 8:30-9:30AM. It's a great way to bring people together to sweat! This specific workout was a fun partner workout that includes a 5k run, the rower, the ski-erg, sled pushes and sled pulls, walking lunges, burpee broad jumps, and a few other movements! So, why are certain places more expensive then others… Big box gyms tend to offer Lower-priced memberships and provide a large selection of gym equipment that you are free to use as you please(its easy to get lost or overwhelmed if this is new to you.) Boutique gyms tend to cost a bit more, but they offer more personalized services or they offer fitness programs with coaching, either in group settings or 1:1. Change your life by embracing the cold! We just got The Cold Plunge for our daily cold therapy. If you don’t have access to a cold tub or the plunge, we suggest you start with cold showers in the morning! Each day will get a little easier. Community Workouts are a great way to bring like-minded individuals together to bond over fitness. We love hosting these types of workouts. It’s a great way come together to sweat, make friendships, and have fun with working out. FITNESS SHOULD BE FUN! We encourage each of you to get outside of the gym and sweat in different ways in your community. Instead of worrying about how fast you did a workout or how much weight you lifted, just try enjoying the workout, push yourself and maybe push the person next to you. Kaizen Athletics is an all-inclusive functional fitness gym located in Virginia Beach, VA. When you come in for a semi-private small group class, this is what you will expect: • 1:1 private training in a small group atmosphere. • Only up to 5 athletes per class so that you still get that push from other athletes but still get that individualized programming and private training. • You will be educated and empowered. • We teach form, function and safety. • We then encourage increased weight and intensity. • We encourage, we high five, we listen to loud music, we break a sweat and most of all we have FUN(if you’re lucky, Coach Carl will be there too!)
